To strengthen your faith during these challenging times, we share the following resources:
A prayer for spiritual communion:
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in union with the faithful at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where your blessed Body and Blood are offered, we offer you praise and thanksgiving. We present to you our souls and bodies with the heartfelt desire that we may always be united to you and to our brothers and sisters in Christ at church. Since we cannot now receive you sacramentally, we ask you to come spiritually into our hearts. We unite ourselves to you and embrace you with all the affections of our souls. Amen. (Adapted from The St. Augustine's Prayer Book)
A prayer for when you feel anxious (from illustratedministry.com)
Into your spacious heart and loving hands, dear God,
I place my fears, my “what ifs,” my spinning world and mind...
Comfort me with the truth no fear is too big for the
Great One, who is always with me. I am never alone.
Calming God, bring courage.
Tender Spirit, breathe peace.
Gentle Jesus, be close.
May Almighty God guide you in paths of right living and restore your souls, protect you from all dangers, keep you healthy and strong, and fill you with the peace that passes understanding, in the name of the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
