Jesus says “Abide in Me and Bear Good Fruit”
Five Wednesdays in Lent at 7:00pm
Evening Prayer led by Fr. Steve with Teachings from the Holy Trinity Clergy.
(based on John 15:4-5a, 8-9 and Galatians 5:22-23, 25)
The challenge of the Gospel is to abide in Jesus and live by the Spirit so that we bear much fruit. What does that mean, based on Scripture, and what does that look like in our lives? The Holy Trinity clergy will meet the challenge by teaching on these questions:
- March 3, Deacon Christine Croskey: “What does it mean to bear the fruits of joy and peace through abiding in Jesus?”
- March 10, Fr. Bob Bruckart: “What does it mean to have patience and kindness, because you are in Christ?”
- March 17, Deacon Stacey Westphal: “What does the Bible tell us about generosity and faithfulness, because of Jesus?”
- March 24, The Rev. Pam Easterday: “How do gentleness and self-control fit into the plan of our Savior?”
The worship and teaching will be offered in the main church with appropriate physical distancing and through live-streaming on Facebook and YouTube. Keep a Holy Lent and abide in Christ!
